Framebook
Revision-safe documentation
Framebook is a revision-safe documentation system. Documents can be edited, reviewed and published via a web-frontend.
The documents are stored centralized on the server in an enhanced Docbook XML-format and are historized.
This allows for flexible output in HTML- and PDF format generated using parameterized XSL-Stylesheets.
Changes in different versions of one document can be traced back and compared to each other.
The workflow of editing, reviewing and publishing, which is bound to user-roles, supports the four-eye-principle and a separation of concerns.
Framebook is a valueable tool for the creation and maintenance of documentations, specifications, protocolls and contracts that are written by one or more parties and need to be reviewed and agreed.
Framebook is well suited for large quantities of highly structured content which is regularly maintained and published.
Multiple authors are able to contribute to the document. The content can be merged easily.
