Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is FRAMETEXX GmbH. Our postal address, telephone number and further legal and contact details are available in the Imprint.
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you visit this website or contact us through its contact form. It does not describe data processing under a separate customer, support or employment relationship where additional privacy information may apply.
3. Hosting and server logs
This website and its email service are hosted by Host Europe GmbH in a data centre in Strasbourg, France. Host Europe processes data on our behalf to provide and secure the hosting service.
When you access the website, the hosting systems automatically process technical request information. Depending on the request and the hosting configuration, this may include:
- IP address;
- date and time of the request;
- requested page or file and referrer URL;
- HTTP status code;
- browser type and version;
- operating system; and
- host name of the requesting device.
We process this information to deliver the website, maintain its technical security, detect and investigate misuse and faults, and produce server-side usage statistics. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure, reliable and efficient operation of the website.
Archived Apache server logs are retained for 14 days. Host Europe also creates server-side web statistics using Webalizer and AWStats. These statistics may contain the visitor’s IP address, referrer, country and browser information. They are retained for 12 months. No cookies or code running in your browser are used for these server-side statistics.
4. Contact form
If you use our contact form, we process the information entered in the form:
- first name and surname;
- company and role;
- country;
- email address and telephone number;
- subject; and
- message.
These fields are required so that we can understand, assign and answer your enquiry and contact you where necessary. The data are sent by email to the responsible staff at FRAMETEXX and stored in the relevant mailbox. If you request an email copy, we send a separate confirmation to the address you supplied. That confirmation contains the form information you submitted.
Where your enquiry relates to a contract or steps requested before entering into a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other business or general enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the efficient handling and documentation of enquiries addressed to our company.
General enquiries that do not result in a contractual relationship are deleted 12 months after they have been finally dealt with. If an enquiry becomes part of business correspondence or a contractual relationship, we retain the relevant data for the applicable statutory period. This is generally six years for received and sent commercial or business correspondence. Longer retention may apply where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. Protection against misuse
To protect the contact form and our systems against automated or abusive submissions, we temporarily process technical request and usage data for validation and rate limiting. These data are used solely to prevent misuse and are not combined with the content of the enquiry.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are protecting the contact form, our mail systems and the availability and security of the website.
6. Cookies and external services
This website does not currently use cookies, local storage, analytics or marketing code in your browser, external webfonts, social-media plugins or external CAPTCHA services. It does not use profiling or automated decision-making.
The website may contain ordinary links to third-party websites. No data are sent to the operator of a linked website merely because the link is displayed. If you follow such a link, the privacy practices of the third-party website apply.
7. Recipients
Within FRAMETEXX, personal data are available only to people who need them to operate the website or deal with the relevant enquiry. Host Europe GmbH receives technical hosting data and processes email as our hosting and email service provider. The hosting service used for this website is operated in Strasbourg, France.
We do not sell website or contact-form data and do not disclose them to third parties for advertising. Data may be disclosed where we are legally required to do so or where this is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Security
The website uses TLS encryption to protect data in transit. We also use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. Internet and email transmission cannot, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.
